"My son recently told me one of the best things I’ve done lately is meet Mike. I live up 19 nasty stairs, too narrow and too steep. Before when I negotiated them I held onto the railing for dear life and arrived out of breath and uncomfortable. I still hold on to the railing going down the stairs because I think it is prudent, not because I am afraid. This is an example of one of the other big changes in my life. I now approach tasks with confidence. This in itself creates a safer environment for me. Mike has concentrated on not only assisting me to become stronger but also to be well balanced and flexible.
When I started working out I strained to lift 10 pounds and most of the time had to settle for five. The other day I was doing chest pressed at 45 lbs and enjoying it. We went to another exercise at 25lbs and I questioned Mike if it was enough. It was! His goal is to safely train me to be the best that I can be: strong, capable, well balanced and confident.
This is why my son says, and I believe, one of the best things I have done lately is 'Meet Mike!'"
Melba Beedy, Age 71"I have been working out in the gym for a couple of years, trying to get stronger for basketball. This past summer I started working with Mike, and I really noticed a difference. When the season can around I was a lot stronger and was able to push around the 6'4" girls I had to guard. I am in excellent shape and feel great.
While training with Mike it is 100 percent about you and what you want to achieve. His workouts are tough, but well worth it in the end."
Katrina, Age 18I am an athlete. I play lacrosse and run cross-country, and it is important for me to be in peak condition, especially when traveling for lacrosse tournaments. At Synergy, Mike has me do sport-specific workouts so I can improve my strength, agility, footwork, and composoure on the field. I go to Synergy to train and for rehabilitation training , so I can treat injuries, do specific excercises to prevent them, and get a workout in.
As a student, I don't have extra cash to spend on constantly training outside of practice. When I met Mike, he took the time to get to know me, my goals, and became invested in helping me to improve and to ultimately achieve those goals. So although I was hesitant at first, I realized that he was not interested in how to get me to buy the package that benefited him the most, but to figure out what fit for me. In other words, Mike was concerned with HOW TO get me to the next level, not HOW MUCH he could make along the way.
